This spring’s film series explores the wonders and tensions of the contemporary South

EFS-South-400The Ethics Film Series, an annual program organized by the Kenan Institute for Ethics in collaboration with Duke’s Screen/Society at Arts of the Moving Image and the Center for Documentary Studies, seeks to engage the community at large on ethical issues through film screenings and panel discussions with film directors and Duke faculty from across campus. This year’s theme is “The South,” with three of the four selections set in North Carolina, two of which are documentaries.

The arts and entertainment section of Duke’s student newspaper, The Chronicle, recently published an article about the formation of this year’s program and how the theme was chosen.
