Tenzin Choeyang is a Tibetan born and raised in Dharamsala, India. She is an alumnus of UWC Atlantic College, Wales, UK. Her academic and personal interests lie in the intersection of environment, health, and social impact. At Duke, Tenzin is the President of Duke Machik Chapter, Vice President of DEI at Duke International Association, Social Impact Analyst at Duke Innovation Studio, and a former SRT / Bass Connection student researcher with DGHI. She also works as a student assistant at the Duke President’s office. She enjoys cooking, exploring Durham, and listening to R&B/Soul. Ultimately, Tenzin aspires to work at an international organization where her interests intersect and hopes to contribute to the world at large.
