James Scott, Sterling Professor of Political Science at Yale University, will deliver the final bi-annual Facing the Anthropocene Luce Lecture, entitled “In the Praise of Floods.” It is an ecological and social hymn to the good work floods do for non-humans and for Homo sapiens alike. The lecture will take place on February 10th, at 6pm, in Goodson Chapel. Free parking will be available in the Lower Allen lot. A reception will follow the lecture.
Presented by the Kenan Institute for Ethics, the Luce lectures are a series of talks on environmental issues, climate change, and how humans relate to the world.
