DukeEngage joins Team Kenan

DukeEngage
On July 1, when DukeEngage’s inaugural director, Eric Mlyn, steps down after more than a decade of deft leadership, it will become a program at the Kenan Institute for Ethics. Founded in 2007, DukeEngage has become a signature feature of the Duke undergraduate experience and a landmark institution on Duke’s campus. With thousands of student alumni having worked in hundreds of communities near and far, it is hard to overestimate the success of the DukeEngage and its impact on Duke students or communities worldwide alike.

“I am thrilled that DukeEngage is becoming a program at the Kenan Institute for Ethics. As long-term program directors in Ireland and New York, Ada Gregory and I look forward to working with new Peter Lange Faculty Director, Professor Piot (Cultural Anthropology and DukeEngage Togo), and the fabulous team at DukeEngage to lead the next chapter of program.”
— Suzanne Shanahan, Nannerl O. Keohane Director of the Kenan Institute for Ethics
