Richard Morrill
Richard Morrill (G’68) is a Senior Consultant at AGB, The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, a premier organization focused on empowering college, university, and foundation boards to govern with knowledge and confidence. Dr. Morrill became Chancellor and Distinguished University Professor of Ethics and Democratic Values at the University of Richmond July 1, 1998, following his 10-year presidency. He is the former President of the Teagle Foundation and former Chair of the Board of Directors of ChildFund International. He has also served as President of Centre College and President of Salem College. He currently is a member of the board of the Richmond Symphony Foundation, and a director of Wintergreen Performing Arts. Dr. Morrill earned his AB from Brown University, his BD from Yale University, and his PhD from Duke University. He has received honorary degrees from four institutions.
