KIE names first Kenan Graduate Arts Fellow

Caitlin Margaret Kelly has been named the 2013-2014 Kenan Graduate Arts Fellow, a new endeavor offered to Duke students working toward a Master in Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts. Kelly is in her second year with the MFAEDA program, and past work has included a project combining photo portraiture and audio narratives of women living with HIV to explore the moral stigma that those women face. She holds a BA in journalism and an MA in Anthropology.

The Graduate Arts Fellowship is meant to encourage a student with interests in the area of ethics, broadly construed and to deepen this connection through engagement with the faculty, fellows, staff, and students at the Kenan Institute for Ethics over the course of an academic year. Kelly will be curating an exhibition to be held in the entrance hallway of the West Duke Building, as well as engaging with students in the spring and participating as a judge in Team Kenan’s annual What is Good Art? competition.
