How should we think about faith in a biblical version of creation in light of a scientific consensus to the contrary? Is there a viable way to turn extra campus food into something other than waste? How do the Ten Commandments intersect with the avowedly secular nature of American legal history? These are some of the questions addressed in the latest issue of Encompass, Team Kenan’s semiannual magazine. This issue is subtitled “Ethics is spirit,” and many of the articles address aspects of ethics and spirituality, including conflicts between politics and religion, the intersection of religious and ethnic identities, and the consequences of restrictive moral codes on those whose practice goes against them.

Pick up a copy of Encompass in the offices of the Kenan Institute for Ethics in the West Duke Building on Duke’s East Campus, or look for it on publication racks around campus. A link to the digital edition of the magazine will be up soon.
