Kaitlin Solera is a Research Assistant at the Kenan Institute for Ethics
at Duke University. She is responsible for helping to organize a
community-based summer youth program for asylum-seeking youth in Dublin,
Ireland and recently arrived immigrant youth in Durham, North Carolina.
Prior to coming to the Institute in 2009, she was a participant in the
summer 2009 Duke Engage Dublin, Ireland trip, where she worked at the
Spiritan Asylum Seekers Initiative (SPIRASI)in the strategy and
development unit. Kaitlin is in her final undergraduate year at Duke, and
has previously been an intern at the U.S. Department of State’s Office of
Central Europe.
