as Transformation Project
The Education as Transformation Project: Religious Pluralism,
Spirituality and Higher Education is a multi-year organizing
effort begun in 1996 to initiate a dialogue about religious
pluralism and spirituality in higher education at Wellesley
College.
The
Institute for Jewish Medical Ethics
Objectives of the Institute and its Annual Conference: 1
- To identify underlying principles of Jewish law (Halachah)
in Biblical, Talmudic and other works of Jewish scholarship
as they relate to the general practice of medicine. 2 -
To analyze the efficacy of these principles by evaluating
the process by which halachic positions are determined on
specific medical issues. 3 -To review recent medical, scientific
and public policy developments in a variety of medical sub-specialties.
4 - To reach out to Jewish and non-Jewish physicians, rabbis
and other clergy, other health care professional as well
as medical students and lay people.
The
National Institute of Judaism and Medicine
The National Institute of Judaism and Medicine, founded
in 1988, provides a discussion forum for the ever-expanding
world of possibilities opened by the advance of medical
science in light of the milleniums-old Jewish ethical tradition.
Self
Knowledge Symposium Foundation
The Self Knowledge Symposium Foundation (SKSF) is a 501(c)(3)
educational nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging
people to consciously develop their own personal, moral,
ethical, and spiritual values and to live according to them.
The SKSF creates experiential learning programs and social
contexts within which people can explore the deeper questions
in life, developing intellectual understanding and personal
character in a quest for the life worth living. The SKSF
advises the SKS campus groups, sponsors a non-student discussion
group, and co-sponsors meetings, lectures, retreats and
