migrationheaderMigration raises core ethical questions about who owes what obligations to whom, about the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, and about the meaning of national identity.

The Institute currently pursues three projects related to immigration and refugees.

  • The Brookings-Duke Immigration Policy Roundtable focuses on U.S. immigration policy.
  • The Refugee Working Group, a collaboration with the Duke Global Health Institute, focuses on research, teaching, and practice issues related to refugees
  • The Institute’s DukeEngage Dublin program, a partnership with the Geary Institute at University College, Dublin, combines an immersive civic engagement experience for Duke students with research and policy analysis focused on the integration of migrants and refugees in Ireland.
