Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise
The Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise brings together people working in business, academic institutions and government to encourage cooperative approaches to market-based economic development and using the private sector to serve the public interest in the United States and worldwide.

The Kenan Institute partners with businesses to develop strategies that heighten their competitiveness and boost their bottom lines. It works with communities, regions and nations to help them plan and build both hard and soft infrastructures that enhance their economies and quality of life. The Institute also works with individuals and institutions to create training opportunities that broaden their exposure to knowledge and build the human capital that makes them more productive.

Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology, and Science
The mission is to develop partnerships in basic research, education, commercialization and public outreach with individuals and organizations dedicated to the advancement of science, engineering and technology as a force in improving the economic and social well-being of the nation and the world.

Kenan Institute for the Arts
The Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts was established at the North Carolina School of the Arts in 1993 to foster, encourage and support initiatives dedicated to the enrichment and growth and development of cultural life in society. Its successful A+ Schools Program, also established in 1993, uses the arts as a vehicle to help students master the requirements of the core curriculum in many North Carolina public schools.
