Each academic year, a group of students are selected as the Duke Human Rights Center’s Global Human Rights Scholars.
As part of their work, students become “Rights Writers,” blogging monthly about a human rights topic of their choice, ranging from human rights abuses to the purpose and responsibilities of the United Nations. Through research, the Rights Writers provide unique context from their view of the world and its humanitarian challenges.
The Duke Human Rights Center at Kenan is now accepting applications from undergraduates to be a part of the 2017-2018 team of Global Human Rights Scholars. Students who enjoy writing, would like more public exposure for their writing, and who are interested in tracing developments of their chosen topic over the course of a year are especially encouraged to apply.
Applications are due by Sept. 25 and details can be found here.
