This conference will provide a platform for field leaders from science and the humanities to discuss how to forward the empirical and philosophical investigation of the emotion disgust. In bringing together scholars from evolutionary anthropology, philosophy, and multiple areas of psychology, it will be possible to identify contributions each field can make to the others vis-à-vis the study of the basic nature of disgust, as well as the effects of disgust on psychiatric, public health, sociomoral, and political phenomena.
